A little about us
For 8 years I raised my children in a home with tension so great you could cut it with a knife. There was frequent yelling and even physical outbursts at times. I tried everything I could to fix it. I read books. I saw 4 different therapists. I even tried to learn how to “deal” with the situation until my children were grown. No one should live in such a strained environment. I began to realize that it wasn’t only me who was being hurt by the hostility. My children and even my family were being affected by this.
It was in November of 2018, almost exactly 8 years after I started my marriage that I took the first step toward leaving. I started the first of the real estate courses that I had been dreaming of taking since before I was married. Many agents choose real estate as their second or third career option. But I always knew it was something I wanted to do. I loved the social aspect and the idea of helping people. I loved the complexity of keeping up with an ever changing market. I didn’t pursue it sooner because I doubted my ability to rise up in such a difficult field. But now, I realized if I could accept the dissolution of my marriage then surely I was up for any challenge.
I called off the marriage a mere month before my license kicked in. I won’t lie, it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. To make ends meet I drove for a ride-share company at night. I pursued my dream career with whatever leftover energy I could muster up as a single mom.
I met Kyle at work and we quickly became friends. Despite my attempts to remain detached, within a year a spark grew between us that was hard to ignore. Sometimes love just strikes and no amount of effort can make it stop. We grew close through the covid quarantine. Our business slowly blended together and we became an unstoppable power couple. Not only did our personalities blend perfectly, but so did our work styles and strengths.
We were officially married in June of 2022. We began streamlining our business to create the best possible services we could offer. Today we find camaraderie in the growth of our business together, our relationships with clients, friends and family, and the joys of parenting together.
Sometimes life takes a path you never planned for. I held on to what I thought was right for me for way too long. Once I gave up the idea that life was “supposed” to follow a specific path a whole new world opened up to me. This is why I’m passionate about helping families pursue their best life. If the home you have isn’t working for you anymore, let's work together to find one that does. You can have the life you want. All you need to do is embrace the need for change. You may discover that pursuing your dreams will lead to more amazing things than you ever imagined in the first place.
